The Geneva Lake Art Association and the Lake Lawn Resort will co-sponsor a new and unique arts festival the weekend of July 20 and 21, 2013, at the Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin.
The Lake Lawn Arts Festival will be a juried fine art fair to be held in the central courtyard of the resort, which is centrally located between Madison, Rockford and Chicago, The site offers an unparalleled location featuring two miles of lake frontage. One hundred booths will be setup in groupings of four booths, allowing a ten-foot aisle between sections, permitting two end booths per section.
The competition is open to all artists eighteen years of age or older. Juried categories will include original artwork in the following media categories: Pencil/Pastel; Oil/ Water Color and Acrylic painting; Photography; Sculpture; Wood – including Sculpture and Furniture; Clay/Pottery; Fiber Art/ Leather / Handmade Paper; Glass; Metal Art; Jewelry; Graphics/Printmaking; Mixed Media (2D and 3D).
Interested artists need to apply through the ZAPPlication website at: www.zapplication.org between March 1 and 31, 2013, to be considered eligible for participation. Information on fees, the on-line application prospectus and additional information on the jurying process, can be found on the website.
The Lake Lawn Arts Festival will include music and entertainment throughout the weekend, with food, beverages, lodging and free parking conveniently available within the resort itself. For additional information on lodging availability and special rates, contact www.lakelawnresort.com.
All profits will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Walworth County and the Geneva Lake Art Association (GLAA).

The Application Process for AITP is Closed.
The Geneva Lake Art Association is proud to announce plans for the 33rd Annual Art in the Park Art Fair to be held at Flat Iron Park in Lake Geneva on Saturday August 10th and Sunday August 11th, 2013. Artists from all over the Midwest, and beyond, look forward to this annual juried Art Fair, which attracts upwards of 5,000 visitors each year.
Art in the Park is a fine art and fine craft show of artists exhibiting and selling original artwork within a 10’X10’ exhibit space. Acceptable media categories include: Clay, Pottery; Fiber; Glass; Graphics; Jewelry; Metal; Multi-Media; Pencil, Pastel; Photography; Oils, Acrylics; Sculpture; Wood and Watercolor. In addition to the artist tents, there will be musical performances throughout the weekend; food and beverages served by Lake Geneva Boy Scout troop 239, a GLAA Members Tent and the Lake Geneva Rotary supported Kid’s Tent for young artists.
Although over 140 artists enter each year, only eighty will be accepted to participate. Tent space fees, and other pertinent information can be obtained by accessing the GLAA website at genevalakeart.org after January 1, 2013. A downloadable prospectus will be available on-line. Printed copies will also be available at the Geneva Lake Art Association gallery located at 647 W. Main Street in Lake Geneva, or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to P. O. Box 623 Lake Geneva, WI 53147, ATTENTION: AITP Director, requesting information on Art in the Park. Applications, which include checks to reserve space in the show, will be accepted through March 31, 2013. Instructions on how to enter digital images of all artwork for jurying are included on the Art in the Park Prospectus.
Our Jurist this year will be Lucy Tonyan, artist, instructor and owner of The Studio Art School in McHenry, Illinois.
