I have used the visual arts throughout my teaching career and now paint for my own enjoyment. My work primarily includes still life, portraits, and botanical paintings. I have always been drawn to detail and enjoy subtleties in color, shape and line. My watercolors are linear and delicate. In my botanicals I try to capture the lovely composition and grace that is inherent in plants while giving each its own particular identity. With portraits, I want to reflect the mood and inner beauty that make each individual subject unique.
