GLAA hosts Art in the Park, a juried fine art show the second weekend in August each year. Art in the Park attracts national artist participation. Art in the Park, the Geneva Lake Art Association’s 32nd Fine Art Show, is located at Flat Iron Park, (Center Street just South of Main) on the beautiful shore of Lake Geneva, WI. AITP is a juried show that spotlights original fine art of 80 artists from throughout the United States, featuring paintings, photography, pottery, graphics, sculptures, jewelry and more.

 

The event will also feature a silent auction, live entertainment, food and beverage and a children’s activity tent. The show runs from 10am-5pm on Saturday, August 11th and from 10am-4pm on Sunday, August 12th, 2012.

2012 AITP Judge, David R. Becker

This year’s judge is award winning artist, David R. Becker, TWSA. David has a Fine Arts degree from the American Academy of Art in Chicago where he studied with Irving Shapiro. He teaches classes at the Palette and Chisel, has led many workshops around the country and is the author of Watercolor Composition Made Easy and How to Sketch with Watercolor. A native of Chicago, Becker has been an illustrator at DRAFTFCB, for the past fifteen years.

Silent Auction Booth

SILENT AUCTION TENT:

Don't miss the opportunity to bid on artwork donated by our exhibiting artists at the Silent Auction Booth. Bidding will end on Saturday at 3:00pm and on Sunday at 2:00pm. At the close of the auction each day, winners will be notified by cell phone and will be asked to pick up their item within 2 1/2 hrs of the auction closing.

 

JUST 4 KIDS AREA:

Our kids activity area is located in the 

park gazebo. Visit with the kids and enjoy creating a fun "take home" art project.
